  • Diagnosed in 2000, at 59, after being on moderately high doses of NSAIDs for arthritis. Splenectomy and rituxan both failed (2004). Did well on prednisone till summer 2018--then terrible reactions. Promacta since 11-19.

CBD for pain? was created by karenr
Does anyone take the CBD tincture of marijuana (not the mind-altering THC) for pain? I understand it has anti-inflammatory qualities, and that some folks with arthritis and other pain issues find CBD helpful. When I've asked my HMO doctors, they seem non-committal. Anyone know if it's safe for ITP folks? Esp. those on Promacta?

I took it for neuropathy pain - didn't work, but then I didn't buy a good brand. When I decide to try it again I'll go with Charlotte's Web brand.
