Cervical Cancer

Hi

Does anyone know what's the minimum platelet count for a cone biopsy? And for any other treatments for abnormal cervical cells?

My last pap test showed high-grade abnormal cells, I had a colposcopy and am still waiting for the results. I am worried that the doctor didn't seem to care about my ITP history. I hope I can just have laser treatment or at the most a cone biopsy but I wonder if these treatments are safe or if I should insist on having a platelet count before the procedure.

I have no idea what my platelet count is at the moment but it usually hangs between 50 and 80 so I haven't been on any medication and haven't seen an hematologist in years.

I would like to hear if anyone has had cervical cancer treatment, or if you know of any websites that give specific information on this issue.

Thanks
