Seriously? With the side effects of anabolic steroids? Sorry to ask this jwest52, but are you into body building or sports?

[and I do know that any of the meds we take for any reason have side effects - we have to weigh the pros and cons. I can see no pro in taking anabolic steroids!]



modified to tell you the site I posted above won't work - but you can goodle anabolic steroids and find lots of sites that have the side effects of taking it.

I think that if anabolic steroids worked for ITP, it might be prescribed more often.

yeah i know their a stage 2 scheduled drug though and have a extremely high rate of abuse which is leading me to believe that is why there not the go to drug compared to prednisone and dex

if anyone could find any medical journals or even write up about the treatment of ITP with anabolics with for or against I would be much obliged just trying to read as much as possible!

I mean I can ball park you an answer and tell you what it would prob do given the right conditions i.e. danazol a weak anabolic is 67% effective according to this website in treating ITP. If you were to perhaps have a stronger anabolic steroid (legally) of course i'm not encouraging anyone to due illegal steroids but a stronger anabolic steroid would dampen the immune system even more so than danazol delivering results in increased platelet counts..Im looking for hard research though in a medical journal..
