My Dad died

My Dad died was created by lwhodge
I have been on the PDSA board for 7 years because my dad developed ITP at the age of 84.
He went through several treatments, but finally stablized pretty much after having
Rituxan. I think he took the series of treatments 3 or 4 times. He never was able to get off a small dose of :) Prenisone, however. His platelet count never returned to normal, but was over 100 for the last 2 years or so. He was 91. I will miss him so much!

Not sure why there is a smiley face beside Prednisone. It's not a drug to smile about!

I'm sorry for your loss, but glad he was able to keep his counts up in the safe range.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know there are no words to console, but know that prayers are going up for you and your family.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:26
Blessings,

Sorry for the loss of your Dad. My condolences go out to you and your family. It was nice that your Dad was able to keep his ITP under control and that the Rituxan worked for him.
