Good checkup today! was created by donswife48
Don's platelet count has been going up a little each week which is encouraging. After his last treatment with a second round of IVIG, it raised his platelets to 62, last week was 72 and today was 77. He also tapered off of Prednisone completely as of today, so his body is now on its own. Had a little scare last week as his WBC dropped to 2.12, differential was low, but machine kicked out "suspect blast" on lympocyte count. Today his WBC is 3.02 and everything else is low, but within percentages. Hemo doc is happy but puzzled, said Don seems to be doing better but doesn't know why, is also running ANA test for Lupus. So for now, I'll get a good couple of weeks and not worry, and won't stay up till all hours researching ITP! So glad to have found this site, I've read quite a bit on the old discussion board and it helps. Thanks for the site.
