Hello everyone
I've seen a section of the website here with support group meetings, and I was wondering if you had to do anything to join? I know with Covid alot of things have been cancelled but I was wondering if they had been moved to Zoom or a similar software? If anyone has information on these, I would love to know. Thank you!

Teen, I see that you are in TX. I went to the Dallas/Ft Worth meeting several years ago before the Houston group started. Now I go to the Houston meeting since that is where I live. Joining PDSA is not required. LOL, when I went to the Dallas meeting, after being diagnosed, I asked questions one after the other for an hour straight. From the support meeting page looks like you need to send an email to Jody Shy. She can direct you further. If you are in the DFW area, I think they have a meeting whenever there is demand - so the schedule is not fixed. For the Houston area, going to Zoom created the biggest turn out ever on the last meeting. Apparently because no one needed to drive.

I sent an email to Jody a few days ago and am waiting on a response. I would like to connect with more people with ITP, the only person I really know is my friend Kira and she lives in the UK! How many people came on the zoom?

I think there was about 12 or so in all. Since the annual PDSA conference is the first and second of August, Jody may be very busy right now. If she doesn't get back to you soon, I can ask the moderator of our local group what to do. Might need parent involvement, I dunno.
