Recently I was advised to take a vitamin - one of the ingredients in a capsule is 200 IU of Vitamin E - taking 2 capsules a day would make a total of 400 IU of Vitamin E which is 1340% of the %DV
Not sure about taking that much Vitamin E daily I contacted my hematologist who talked with the oncology's clinical pharmacy specialist and she said:
"....however, high doses of Vitamin E might increase risk of bleeding by affecting platelet aggregation and also your blood's clotting ability. For this reason I would advise against use of Vitamin E at the doses that you would get...."
