Tavalisse failed, avatrombopag costs $54K/mo., isn't approved for more than 5 day dosing anyway, and insurance says "No". Everything else has failed so I await an appointment with the specialist in Durham. And my phone/ 'net access is screwed. Wheeee ha ha ha.

How about this to ask the specialist.
Doctor, if it's my liver destroying platelets, what can be done?

  • I developed hemolytic anemia in 1999 and ITP in 2005. Treatments have been splenectomy, prednisone, IVIG, and Rituxan.
