ITP and allergies? was created by Annie12uf
Hello! I am so glad I found this website and I apologize in advance if I am asking questions in the wrong area. I wanted to know if anyone else has debilitating allergies and if they believe they are linked to their ITP? Also, I have had my blood tested by multiple doctors, examined, etc and my results are “perfect” however I am constantly TIRED with zero explanation.. ITP related? And finally my stomach is always bloated to the point I constantly look a few months pregnant regardless what I eat, drink, exercise.. and it’s been this way my whole life and I’m not an overweight persons.. it’s an extremely uncomfortable bloat where I fit into my pants in the morning and have so much pressure by the end of the day I cry.. I’ve read studies on autoimmune disorders and bacteria in the gut? Could this be related?? So sorry if I posted this in ththe wrong area! Thank you guys for the help and support!

What sort of allergies do you have? Allergies are an autoimmune reaction and comparable to ITP for that reason. I had eczema as a child and have chronic allergy sinus issues.

ITP causes fatigue for some people but not all. Have you had vitamin levels tested?

Bloating can be caused by various things. If you suspect the gut connection, try eliminating dairy, sugar and gluten which are usually the main culprits and add a good probiotic.
