amicar side effects? was created by tj1989
My son has wiggly teeth and his doctor prescribed amicar, and said he can have it if bleeding last long. His last count was 27k, and doctor didn't think it would be a problem, the prescription is just in case. My question is did anyone use it before, and how about the short term and long term side effect? If this medicine does not have serious side effect (our doctor never mention any), why do people not use this for urgent cases (e.g surgeries)?

Thanks.

The main side effects that I know of are dizziness, passing out and possible blood clots. My Hemo refused to give it to me so I could get dental work. You're right, it's not used very often and that says something.

If he bleeds, I'd try using a tea bag first.
