Good Sunday afternoon everyone, so my platelet count was 1000 on Friday, a choice was to go with IVIG and get admitted to the hospital however I did not want to do that, I went home with prednisones of 50 mg for couple of days till Wednesday, my main question is have you guys gone home with a platelet count of 1000 or is your doctors scared to let you go home?
Thank you guys!

I've worked and gone Christmas shopping with a count of 3k. Close enough. My doctor didn't hospitalize me or even mention it, however, I did respond well to Prednisone and my symptoms were only bruising and petechiae. How are your symptoms?

I went to the Calgary Stampede with my grandsons (rides, junk food etc etc !) with a count of 9. Mind you I didn't know it was 9 until the next day. :) :) :)

My count has been down as low as 2. I was at work when I got that result. Admission was never mentioned .
