worried about petechiae locations was created by samstama
Hi everyone, Im a 19 year old male with my last platlet count at 56. Im an extremely worried person and think the worst about everything. Recently I've had the small purple-reddish petechiae come up on my upper thighs, buttocks, and stomach. Its not a rash that completely consumes these areas but there is definitely enough there to notice. Im just wondering if these are normal areas to get this as I have only really got them on my ankles and lower legs. Note, I have been going to a sauna the past couple weeks and am wondering if this has a negative affect?
If anyone can provide some feedback or experiences it would be very much appreciated.
Hope everyone is doing well
Sam

Sam:
Petechiae can appear anywhere. I used to get them on my chest and hands. Heat has been known to cause them to appear, but that doesn't mean that your counts are any lower. As long as your counts are in a good range, try not to worry about the petechiae.
