Ok so I've woke up with red dots on my face, neck , chest. Does this go away? ?

If your platelets are low and you get the counts up, yes, they do go away.

Magnolia, I hope you called your doctor. With a relatively new ITP diagosis and a platelet count of 3, any new symptoms should be reported and checked out.

in the Uk we get prednisolone not prednisone. However it doesn't work for me either. nor does IVIG. If you are the same , with a count of 3 you need to be getting some Promacta to keep you safe from bleeding . Rituxan may work eventually but is not fast acting.

Have to wonder if your doc will give you IVIG, before Rituxan, to clear that up. If you haven't had ITP long IVIG could work wonders.
