Swollen Lymph nodes was created by damships6
Hi my Daughter has had Itp since she was 16yrs old.her Lymph nodes are swollen since Jan and they havent gone down her Hematologist wants her to get a biopsy to see if she has lymphoma however due to the co pay it isnt possible is there any help for this test.

I'm sorry, but I don't know of any financial help for tests. You could sign her up for "Go fund Me"....that is all I can think of. It is strictly donations.

Will show my ignorance here - is there another way, like blood tests?
Personally if my child had swollen lymph nodes for almost 6 months I'd really want to get to the bottom of it.

I sure hope she does not have lymphoma! Keep us posted please.

Hi Melinda there isnt a bloodbtest that would show lymphoma but yes they wantnthe biopsy to test for low grade lymphoma but without the biopsy which is 1,900 co pay all they can do is repeat her cat scans in August to see if her lymph nodes have grown and got bigger it wont tell if she has itnor not without the biopsy unfortunately.
