superficial thrombophlebitis was created by Kelirae24
So I has a vein blow while getting blood 3 weeks ago, it really bad for about a week then healed up, then Saturday I woke up with my arm hurting a lot and swollen and red do I went to the hospital to have it checked out, the dr told me I had superficial thrombophlebitis, which is clots in my vein, I now have swollen veins in the other side of the same arm. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Oh Keli, so sorry you are having that trouble. Will it change your treatement dosage? I vaguely remember something on the side effects of Nplate about clots. Will be watching for more on this.

Lol yes nplate is my best friend and also my worst enemy when I was 25 I had a stroke on nplate so I'm not very happy right now with the word clot. I know I had a lot of trauma to the one vein but now there's another spot. Waiting till 9 to call my dr cause my whole arm is swollen again

Called my Drs office I have to go back to the er, I hate the er.

So apparently it's the same vein just at another spot so cold and warm compresses and aspirin my platelets were at 358 and no idea why

It sounds like you totally deserve a break with some stable numbers. It's a revolving door for you over there at the hospital, I hope you managed to make this visit a short one.

Next day they were 358 hoping for lower numbers this week arm seems to be getting a lot better feels like a lot of the swelling is going down

Down to 89 today yay lol the vein is way better let's hope my dr will start listening to my wishes
