platlets shoot up was created by farida
my son's platlets shoot up from 39k to 700 k in one week with one dose of retixamb , he has to do cbc tomorrow , in case it's higher than that number what shall he take , his doctor dosn't see him every time he goes to the clink to get the infusion , he dosn't even answer his phone , my son was about to take asprin today but i made him wait tell tomorrow , but he bought the asprin already to start using it in case it's more than 700 k , is that right ,or he has to take other medication ?

Aspirin should do it.

When I had a high count on NPlate I was told to take aspirin each day and my count subsequently dropped from 1,084 down to the high 300's in 1 week although I only took 1/4 of a tablet and not a whole tablet so you might like to check on the dosage of aspirin that he is to take.

Aspirin shouldn't cause the count to drop, but it will make platelets less sticky. There are no other meds that would be prescribed unless a clot occurs.
