Melinda, I know what you mean. I never believed that baloney about oleomargarine being healthier, and sure enough... TRANS FAT!!! But regarding colas, Adelle Davis said it long ago and more recent studies support it, that phosphoric acid interferes with calcium absorption.

At the very least, it's a known fact that colas rot teeth. So does juice though, but it does have other benefits.

And so does milk

I'm not going to stop having a coke or pepsi once in a blue moon - and I think in the morning I will live dangerously and put some salt on my eggs!

Will check out the article Rob.

Yeah, I know. I've heard most of them before so it wasn't a big surprise, but things do keep changing. Bottom line - nothing is really healthy!

haha>Jack,youre=right!

Well COOL!

And the article even says that very hoppy IPA types are best for this! MY FAVORITE KIND OF BEER!

I had two 10oz snifters of Columbus Brewing Co 'Bodhi' (double IPA) yesterday with brunch!

Thus proving the old cliche that; "Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while". B)

Every time you turn around someone is saying something that is differs from what was said before.

I'm not a big milk drinker and developed early menopause putting me at a higher risk for developing Osteoporosis. That said many many years ago a doctor said my bone were thickening so my thought is it will equal itself out.

I do take vitamin D and calcium as a preventative. That said If you have to go on Osteoporosis treatment ask for the medication that is taken once weekly and can be taken with other meds and meals!
