Not sure where this goes - new count was created by Winnifred
So I was at work 2 nights ago about 1 am started pain in Rt side and it got really bad. The pain seemed to move so I thought I have another kidney stone. By 430am I couldn't stand straight or anything. Called the girl relieving me and had her come in early.

Go to hospital doctor wants to run tests and says I need to get rid of the pain first. It hurt so bad I was easy to convince. I was given 50mgs of Gravol and 1mg dilaudid (hydromorphone) IV. ( I was higher than a kite no pain not even my arthritis)

Ran blood work urinalysis and CT scan. Diagnosis Kidney stones put me on antibiotics because "when they get stuck can sometimes cause infection". Tamsulosin to help me pass the stone (some of you men may know this as it is a prostrate drug) and offer me dilaudid to take home.

Refused pain meds as I didn't like the way I felt in the hospital.

Blood test results are in platelet count dropped approx 30. was 162 now 134. Crossing my fingers none of my medications will make it go lower.

So the counts are not that far apart which makes me wonder is this the start of a drop or my usual fluctuation!

That said the doctor wants to refer me to a urologist! this is actually a new one for me lol I've seen many many different types of gist in my life time but this will be my first urologist!
