Kanebilly,

Strangely I was in the hospital when first diagnosed getting IVIG ( my count was 4) my friends dad was in hospital during chemotherapy struggling to get his platelet counts up, so there does seem to be a chemotherapy connection. Unfortunately I don't know the outcome of his counts because he passed away from pneumonia a week later. I'm sorry for the very sad story.

What do the doctors want his count to be for surgery? Are they going to try steroids prior to surgery?
