Recently i've gotten these weird bumps on my upper arm that have spread to my lower back that look like ringworms. I haven't seen my family doctor yet because of my busy schedule, and the fact that the whole medical profession is extremely unorganized in Montreal. Anyways decided to search more just to try and diagnose what these bumps were and this resulted to "Pityriasis Lichenoids" and it looks something like this;

Anyways looking up the causes of this resulted in having the Epstein–Barr virus, which SURPRISE SURPRISE leads to low platelet counts and an enlarged spleen. I was wondering if anyone knew about this? Why isn't treating this virus considered for ITP? I feel like this is a coincidence that I have these bumps and a cause of this is also a cause of thrombocytopenia

Is that a selfie or a stock photo? The photo looks more like pityriasis rosea to me:

You might also look at lupus discoid rash, which can appear circular.

Are you sure it's not some form of psoriasis? (Persons with one autoimmune disorder are somewhat likely to have others.) I'd see a dermatologist asap, to get it under control.

Yes, I think I'd see a doctor, maybe have a biopsy done and get a proper diagnosis. That could be a few different things.

ITP can be caused by quite a few underlying conditions and unless symptoms appear, they can't really treat people blindly for something they may not have.
