How goes it with the plan for Ellen to get counts up in order to take aspirin? You haven't updated in a while.

Wow! A thread with my very own name on it!

Ellen would sure love to be able to take aspirin now... she has been having lots of migraines lately. The prednisone she took to go to Spain is no longer helping with the headaches. She is bruising a good bit, so aspirin is not a good option right now. She absolutely detests steroids, and would not be willing to use them long term.

It does look like it is a matter of when, not if, she will treat with Rituxan, and it is pretty much decided she will go with the low dose Rituxan plus high dose dexamethasone protocol.

Two issues are holding up the Rituxan. First of all, we have a beach vacation coming up July 18 and she cannot afford to use up any more time off to get treatment. So she wants to put off Rituxan until after her vacation. Second, she has a repeat MRI scheduled to make sure those liver spots from her previous MRI aren't growing, because if they are it might affect her treatment options (understatement!).

Thanks for asking!

I was curious and wondering why you haven't said anything. I thought that Rituxan was the plan but didn't know why it wasn't happening. Thanks for the update!
