Purpura and Petechithe was created by amberyard
Got up Tuesday with a blood blister (purpura) in my mouth and petechithe all over my chest. Started a pulse of Dex 40mg yesterday morning, and was going to add in Pred if no better by that night.
Took some Pred 20mg about 3pm yesterday because the petechithe is spreading but my mouth blisters are slowly going away. Also didn't take allergy medication yesterday morning thought it was going to rain most of the day so I was getting a headache. Also took another 20mg of Pred about 8pm last night since the headache came back. So I got to deal with leg/joint pain all night.
Wednesday on second day of Dex pulse and took 40mg of Pred Tuesday as well. The Pred was in the after noon since I was under impression that it was going to rain all day and didn't take my allergies medication. Mouth sores are gone just waiting on the petechithe. Been having to run the humidifier when I'm home to help with my nose it's bloody in the morning.

Amber, taking 40 mg of dex is the equivalent of taking 266 mg of pred so adding another 20 or 30 mg of pred is pointless. What does your doctor suggest?

Won't see her until next week. I can tell that Pred is working better than the dex. Blood blisters are going away with Pred and not dex. It is also helping slow my period down as well. I don't have insurance so I can't do any treatments. since I'm classified as refractory now, after spleen was removed there is not much I can do but get to the next day. If I start bleeding uncontrollable I'll go to er but with a fight. I have already been through a bankruptcy. Can't do another ne until 2018 also lost my house. I want to pay off the surgeon and er doctors before getting back into any debut.
