Hi there everyone!

Has anyone seen about 10k of my platelets? I seemed to have misplaced them! I was down to about 14. I did not treat but did adjust my diet somewhat. I am back over 20 and feel pretty good, a little tired but ok. I am bruising easy and cutting easy too. I did have a bloody nose that took a bit to get fixed. Now I feel like a true ITP veteran!

Anyway it stinks! I did not like it one little bit. My thoughts go out to those of you that deal with this on a regular basis.

I have been running again. I am getting about 5 runs over 3 miles in per week. The ballroom dancing is also a lot of fun! I recommend that to everyone!

Take Care One and All!

Jeffrey

Commiserations. I've lost some of mine too. From 195 in December to 87 last week. Somebody is obviously stealing platelets! :)

That must be where the platelets came from last week, when I zoomed from 10k all the way to 14k.

Jeffrey:

You choose not to deal with it on a regular basis. You rarely treat, have counts checked or stress out when others would. There's nothing wrong with that; you've found a way to live with ITP that works well for you.
