Home again after several days - IVIG Monday, fasting Tuesday, colonoscopy today. All good, seems I have diverticulosis in a small area which is manageable. Very relieved.
Quite the roller coaster this week - my sister died last Saturday, several of us came down with a nasty gastro bug, my drama with tests etc. & our daughter in law is due to have her baby any minute!! I feel wrung out.

Sorry to hear about your sister, MJ. Had she been sick?

What a coincidence; I have Diverticulitus too! Was diagnosed in 2011. I've had to give up eating peanuts and I have a craving. Hubby won't even let me have one/two. Some of the other stuff I'm not supposed to eat, I don't miss.

Hi Cindy,
Thank you. Margie was diagnosed with cancer 12 months ago & had been on radiation/chemo treatment. She was 69. She was a talented, quirky, caring & generous woman & I despaired watching her deteriorate. It has made me more determined than ever to avoid the chemical option if possible.

Apparently the diverticulitus developed 20 - 40 years ago. I am still learning about it & will endeavour to manage it properly. I figure it was a far better discovery than what could have been! Any helpful suggestions welcome.

meredithjane - Sorry to hear about your sister. Glad it was just a bug and you have recovered. Any word on the little one yet? Do you know if it is a boy or girl?

Cindy - I would go nuts not being able to have my every so often nut or sunflower seed.
