I use to love working out but now with the anemia I'm lucky to get up and go to work. I'm always tired and need to do something I want my body back from when I first got diagnosed (50 lbs ago).... Since they told me I'm now classified as refractory ITP (nothing else can be done, other than steroids as needed to raise counts, just as long as they work).

Feeling hopeless. :(

Amber, I have watched you struggle through the worst of your ITP, and have been impressed by the strength you have shown throughout the whole process. Depression is a different monster, because it saps your will to fight back. Sometimes pulling yourself up by your bootstraps is not enough.
Sometimes you need medical help. If you have called out of work due to depression, then you may have reached that point.

Do whatever you can to fight back, because depression can suck you in, and the farther in you go the harder it is to struggle free. Try to get outdoors as much as possible... we will have 70 degrees on Saturday in Atlanta, so make your plans now... it doesn't have to be strenuous to be good therapy! Where is your favorite place to enjoy nature without it being too strenuous? Or on a different note (pun intended), a road trip to Savannah for the www.savannahstopover.com/ music festival might be fun, if you are into that scene (and I seem to remember you are). Do something different and fun. Keep finding things to look forward to and plan for and life won't feel quite so hopeless.
