I've had ITP for 5 months and I responded very well to treatment. I want to help others and I thought I could raise some money and try to help. I have two ideas (cornhole tournament or a casino night) that I think would fit a university atmosphere. I'm looking for any ideas! Thank you so much!

Also you can help by checking in here and offering words of wisdom to people who are new to this.

Lol.. it is a game with bean bags and you have to throw them at a piece of wood that has a hole in it. I think it is a funny name for a game.

I think it's great that you are fundraising. I did not know what corn hole was until I moved to the Midwest. It's kind of a big deal in these parts. Lol

In my part of the universe, I call the game 'annoying'.
My neighbor doesn't put those hollow plywood boxes in the grass where the sound would be muffled....oh no....he puts them on his driveway like bass drums, breaks out a cooler of nasty BudLite, then for several hours we get to listen to: thump....thump....thump....thump....thump....thump....thump....thump....thump....thump....thump....thump....thump....thump....
A very popular social event among the suburban upwardly mobile '2.5-kids-1-dog-and-a-Prius' Millennial crowd on my street.
It's annoying enough to turn me from being a 'loveable curmudgeon' into full-fledged 'old fart'. :S

BTW: You do not want to google 'cornhole'. Let me just say that the term wasn't always applied to a beanbag game.
Rats....now I have that old Beavis & Butthead line stuck in my brain, "I am the Great Cornholio!"....

I also think of Beavis & Butthead when someone uses the term cornhole. When I first saw a cornhole tournament, I laughed so hard I was crying..... LOL!!

Try Googling "Fraternity or Sorority Fundraising ideas." You'll find an over abundance of ideas specifically tailored for the college set.

And no, they don't involve binge drinking.

Proud former sorority girl! :)
