I need to find a new hematologist for my son. He needs a local doctor who is willing to work with Dr. Bussel who is four hours away. Have any of you tried interviewing a doctor before transferring records etc.? Do any of you have MDs who are receptive to working with another MD who specialize in ITP? Thank you in advance for any replies. Joan

I suspect that if you find a university medical center hematologist, they would be thrilled to work with Dr. Bussell.

I have always been fortunate to find a hemotologist to work with other doctors.

Thank-you. That was an excellent suggestion. I immediately researched it only to find the Hematology Group that is not working out for my son. Oh well. It took me seven years to find Dr. Bussel. I'll keep looking. I am grateful that he has health insurance and can see a hematologist when needed.
