Good Evening Everyone!

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow with my Hema/Oncologist. I am riding my bike in the 30 miles and parking it in the waiting room! We will see if he still wants my spleen after that! B) I drive that poor guy nuts. He is earning this money!

Hey Jeffrey,

Hope it all goes well and that the doctor won't fall off his chair when you tell him you cycled to the appointment ;)

Let us know how it went!

Take care and keep running ;)

When we lived in Tokyo I always rode my bike to hematologist appointments - wasn't an easy ride either.

Good luck Jeffrey!

Good Evening!

My count was 46k, which is good for me! I am happy and so is my doc. I do not have to go back until September unless I become symptomatic. All other markers are in the normal range. He did tell me that if I have an issue he will want to do Rituxan. But right now NO ISSUES! :P

And it appears that they will be sponsoring me to some degree for my racing! I have to talk to their marketing people tomorrow.

I did ride my bike in today. It was a nice 36 mile ride and I had a nice 3.5 mile run before the ride. I parked my bike right in the waiting room. Yup, I did! They got a kick out of that. I do believe it was a first for them.

So all in all a pretty good day!

There you go! The secret to my success! Put on spandex, ride your bike to the doc's office, and ask them to sponsor you!

Some that just sounds wrong on several levels...... just sayin...

Hey Jeffrey,

Thanks for the update - great news yay! They probably thought you were a courier when you rocked up to the appointment with your bike! :P What sort of bike have you got btw, we husband is madly in love with Specialised.

Keep running, keep riding and keep those platelets up - evidently they are enjoying the sweat up as much as you do! :)

It is set up for triathlon and time trial.

Welcome to the Specialized Family Jeffrey! He has the Stumpjumper, I have a GT which has been collecting dust sadly - too scared to fall off a mountain bike (which I have a history of!)
