Is it my turn again? was created by Sandi
Look what I just found on my leg. I have a boot (for foot fracture) on the other leg and didn't look. I just hope that it is petechiae and not vasculitis or something like that. I've had bruises on my legs for weeks and never thought much about that. It happens when my dogs jump on me.

Eh. I had a CBC a week and a half ago, so called my Rheumatoligst to see what the count was. It was 319. Since then, I started Imuran which can cause counts to drop even though it is an ITP treatment. Imuran can also cause vasculitis and I'm more worried about that.

I'll let it go until Friday. If it's worse, I'll get a count done.

It's raised today, so not petechiae. I'll give it a few days and if it gets worse, will call the Rheumatologist.

I don't know. It's all bruised where the spots are, so that's not good. It's not an allergic rash, I know that. There are so many scary things that go with Lupus so when something like this comes up, I don't like it much. :S

But, oh well! It's been a good day otherwise if you don't count the MRI and clumping around with my gimpy foot. The MRI took as long as 6 classic rock songs, but it's funny how loooooooong each song really took to finish.

Today was just fine. We're having some renovations on our house in a few weeks and I am happy about that. As long as I have some kind of project and something to focus on, it's all good!

I hope the rash will go away soon Sandi, keep us posted and do contact your R if it hasn't gone better.

House renovations sound like a great project to keep your mind focused on something positive, it will be nice to have the house fixed up and freshened up!

It looks raised, petechia is more flat I thought, it doesn't look like much spots. Hope you got it sorted. Hmm house renovations that sounds like a lot of fun. :) :)

Sandi,

It's hard to tell in the pic but is it on your hair follicles? It kinda looks like it in the pic....if so that's very easily treated.

Unfortunately, I think when you have autoimmune issues rashes are common. I'm always getting weird ones.

No, it's not a shaving/hair follicle thing. They are getting kind of scabby now. Very strange. I don't care what it is as long as it stops. I almost quit taking Imuran, but I'm glad I didn't.
