Does anyone know what a safe count is to ride rollarcoasters or other amusement parks rides?

30 is what my son's doctor says - he has been with a count of around 10 before now though and been fine.

I went to six flags with a 15k, and just avoided the really bumpy stuff. Like no bumper cars. The old wooden roller coasters are more jostly, and also you'd be amazed at the amount of knowledge the employees of an amusement park have about each ride. So I bet if you asked them if a roller coaster was more bumpy or more hills and swoops, theyd totally be able to let you know.

I'm probably being silly, but what is the risk? Why do you need a certain platetlet count for rides? Aren't you strapped in for all rides?

It's the head banging that goes on in some rides. Any head-whipping action can tear or injure tiny vessels, which wouldn't affect most folks. Our doc required 100 for our teen. After going on one of the roller coasters at Universal, I would agree with him. I don't have ITP, but I thought my head took a bit too much on that ride.
