Hi Everyone!

I have been able to stay off the prednisone for a month now. I have dropped about 17 pounds! My platelets are stable in the 40-46 range. I had a complete blood work up a couple of weeks ago and it was virtually perfect with the exception of the platelets. I am pretty happy! I have been running and training quite a bit. I will be running the Indy 500 /12 Marathon this Saturday.

Still looking for work but I think I will have something very good soon! Life is good! I hope that you are all well and that your platelets are high!

Quick story, last week I was running in our small town. I came within about 1 foot of being run over by a lady on an electric 3 wheeler. Why would she come so close? She was texting while she was steering! I ran on for about another 1/4 mile and came to a street corner. A very nice pair of "senior" ladies waved at me as they turned the corner, drove up on the side walk and run through stop Sign! I don't go down that street anymore!

Glad you are able to lose prednisone pounds and do some running as well as keep your counts up.

Hey Jeffrey!

Thanks for the update, great to hear about your counts staying up in a safe range and your successful recovery from Prednisone! Keep up good routine and good luck at the race. Your outlook is great!

Funny story about the hazardous street with the folk causing trouble! better choose a different run in track all together!

I fell off my bike a while back as I was texting at the same time - not a good idea! Applies to all vehicles on weels! :silly:

GOod luck with job hunting!

And here you thought ITP was dangerous! Running is much more dangerous! Always love reading about people who's counts have stablized!

Hi Jeffrey
Glad you checked in and counts are stable. I can barely walk from one side of the school I work in to the other side. So I'm pretty impressed by all your running!
