Increased Petechiae with Exercise?

Increased Petechiae with Exercise? was created by dismantled
Hi everyone!

I'm wondering if anyone has ever noticed an increase in petechiae with non-impact cardio exercise. My counts are probably around 30-35k right now, but that's an estimate (last CBC was 44k a week or so ago, and my trend lately has been -10k a week). I was working out on the elliptical today, and all of a sudden, new petechiae appeared and other, more faded ones, became much brighter. Has anyone else noticed exercise having an impact on petechiae? They're on my lower legs mostly, and logically it makes sense that exercise might increase the number of petechiae since blood flow is increasing and pressure in the lower extremities increases, but I wanted to clarify if this is "normal."

Thanks!

Yes, when my counts are under 20k I always get petechia on my lower legs when I exercise like walking or even something like bowling

The Petechiae on my calves increased and became very red and itchy from standing 4 hours leading a corporate event. I think it's from elevated blood flow as is similar in exercise.

I vary seldom have symptoms, but I'll get them with counts over 50K, if I do a lot of walking on Cement sidewalks.

Hi i tend to think that if your counts are around 30 they will be there regardless of excercise. I was always told not to be so physical and do excercises at that point but i dont know really if that was because they were afraid i would hit off something and get a bruise. It would make sense though.
