Good Evening!

Well another doc visit today and the envelope please............. Platelets at 76! Whoo Hoo! Best yet! Here is the game plan my doc wants to put forth. I am now tapering off of the prednisone! Can I get an AMEN??? 2 week taper. Then another CBC. If the counts are over 30 then we will watch and see, if lower than that we will be heading towards the other meds and/or chemo. Spleenectomy as a last resort. He is a good doc and I trust him.

So not too bad a visit! I can now really train for the season! it is a lot of work being a "trophy husband"!

Everyone take care!

Jeffrey

Good for you! I hope you're not thinking about Vincristine when you say 'chemo'....there are other things to try first!

Good luck with the training!

Jeffrey,

That is great news, have fun training!

It is great to have a doc you trust. Mine has gotten me through the past 13 years of ITP and Hemolytic anemia. It makes it so much easier to manage this stuff with a good doctor.

Okay, got the gray that day, but you didn't warn me about the snow squalls and cold wind we had today. Better get on the ball! Better yet, send some sun already!

Did you pass me a note? If so, where did you put it?

Oh, please save Vincristine as an absolute last resort. Most never have to go there and you have a ways to go before that option!

Jeffrey...will be praying for good results with your prednisone taper and that platelets keep themselves in the safe range. Good Luck! :)
