Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy? was created by tamar
Has anyone had cryotherapy with low platelets? It doesn't seem like it would be too big of a deal, but would like to hear others' experiences (I am waiting for a call back from the dermatologist right now).

My platelet count was 37K last week, and I can tell today they have dropped some from there.

Dermatology called, they are not particularly worried about the platelets. I have some sun damage on my face from my work assignment in Tampa a few years ago. Wear your sunscreen!!

Unfortunately when you get to be our [ok, my] age the damage is done as it started when young. But yes, we all need to wear sunscreen whenever outside!

Sorry you are having trouble Tamar - hope this takes care of it!

Funny thing, I went to a different dermatologist from the one who told me I needed this "freckle" frozen off, and she didn't see anything on my cheek that needed attention. She did, however, agree that something I was concerned about right on the bridge of my nose was worth freezing off. The first dermatologist said that my nose was fine.

I'm glad to have this done, though it is ugly at the moment, I am hoping it will heal away to nothing, I didn't really like having this particular spot in this particular place.

I'll tell you what really helps sunspots and such....ROC products. I bought the multi-purpose cream and it literally cleared up melasma and sun spots like magic. I also use some OTC chemical peels and they help too. They are not strong enough to see the skin peeling, but skin does renew itself slowly.

Hope it heals quickly, Tamar!

Sandi, I never heard of ROC before. I'll have to give it a try. I thought freckles were cute when they came in the summer and left in the winter, but now they're staying and they're no longer cute.

Oh I do I do!

I'm telling you, that stuff works. I literally watched the dark spots fade in days. I lost count how many times I've ordered that tube.

Sandi,
The product description on Amazon mentioned wrinkles not dark spots. Are you sure this is the stuff for dark spots?

Yes, it's multi-correction. It actually does both, but the dark spots are what I really noticed.

It says this:

Diminish the appearance of wrinkles
Improve elasticity
Brighten skin
Diminish the look of dark circles
Improve the appearance of pores

"Brighten skin" is the part I'm talking about.
