Hi there stranger! Long time. Same old, same old here. Praying all is well with you. I have a question. Do you know if there is or has been research about ITP and people with a secondary spleen?

Hey Gretchen! How are you?

I have not read any research about that subject, but I also haven't tried to look for articles. All I know from observation is that it doesn't seem to work often for those who have it done.

Do you have a secondary spleen?

I don't know if I do or not! I went to the doctor the other day and the nurse's son has ITP. She told me that he had a splenectomy and they took 2 spleens out and he has been in remission since. She thought that is what was causing his ITP. I was just wondering if there was any research done on it.
