Hi all:

I know it's been awhile since I have been on this site. I've been busy and living life. My counts so far have stay up in the 500,000 and 400,000. Last count there were in the 350,000. Feb 15th.2013 will be a year since my spleen removal and my rixtuan treatments. I see my hematologist FEb 11th for my three month check up.

Lately the last few weeks I have been feeling very very tired and some joint pain. I was suppose to go to the rheumtologitst on Dec 13th but had an unexpected death in the family and the funeral was that day. Now I can't get in until May 1st.

I am still trying to get my medical retirement disability from work the stress at my job has gotten worse and I think it would help my health a lot if I didn't have to worry about calling in when I feel sick or need to go to the doctor. I notice on a day off or the weekend , even if i get up at 5:00 or 6:00 am. if I get my breakfast and go back to resting till about 7 or 8 I feel good for a few hours, I can do some stuff around the apartment then I have to rest for a little while. Is this something normal with ITP ,even if my plates are good?

I seen the family doctor the other day for some joint pain, especially in the legs, just about a week ago, it hurts to stand or walk plus other joint pain, doctor thought it might be fibomyalgia<sp?> he subscribe cymbalta I am a little afraid to take as I read it is in the same family as asprin and NSAIDS and can cause bleeding problems. Any advice on this?
