klonopin now lists Thrombocytopenia as side effect

I was prescribed this drug (Klonopin is the brand name for Clonazepam) years ago.
I remember looking at the side effects and ITP was not listed, and I looked at the literature provided with the RX and ITP was not listed.

A few days ago, I started researching this drug (how do I get off of it) and found Thrombocytopenia listed as a side effect online.

I don't know if I was taking this drug when I was diagnosed with ITP, I'm not sure if I want to know as I have had a splenectomy and am doing well now.

But I did want to tell you all what I found.

I wouldn't worry about it. In the PDR, most drugs list thrombocytopenia as a side effect. If it's not listed, it still has the potential to trigger it. Side effects are only listed if it's been reported. I'm sure there are many side effects that go unreported.
