IgM Deficiency

IgM Deficiency was created by joplint
I developed ITP in Dec 2005. My platelet count was 1. I've been fortunate to be in remission ever since. However, recently my family doctor did antibody blood testing and found I have a low IgM count. The only resource he found for explaining this had a reference to this being associated with having ITP. Has this situation happened to anyone else?

I wouldn't say that low IgM is related to ITP specifically. It can be found in those with any autoimmune disorder and some types of cancer. It can also occur in people who use immunosuppressants. Yes, there are others here who have had low IgM. Sometimes the levels returned to normal once the immunosuppressants wore off.
