I haven't been on in a LONG time - my counts have crashed and I am having problems responding to treatment. They tried a platelet transfusion which ended me up in the hospital - put me on decadrone and I am still in the basement (3000) so now yesterday they gave me a shot of nplate (which I had good response to in May of 2011). I will be honest with all of you - I am scarred this time. I looke like someone has just beaten me up. They are talking about trying the IV push (whinro??) that a person can have who doesn't have a spleen. Any comments or encouragement would be appreciated. I honestly don't remember being this scarred before but my doctor retired and there is a new one on the case and he honestly didn't even look at my records before jumping into this. And when I had the reaction to the platelets - well the nurse had walked away without giving me a call bell and I was screaming for help. Not good.

There is a good chance that N-Plate will work again, so I'd put some hope in that basket.

Win-Rho is used only for those with a spleen, not without. Are you sure that's what they said?
