Supplements cause ITP was created by debrasla
Just a little fyi, my 22 year old starting bruising after he started taking supplements for working out. Never had a problem until he started taking these.

Weird how this could cause a life time of disorder:(

What were the supplements?

It could also be an unfortunate coincidence. Lots of us develop ITP for no real discernible reason after years of being totally healthy.

I agree with Kittie. There is no way to know for sure what the cause was. It could have been the supplements that triggered it, but chances are he already had a genetic predisposition and that could have been the final straw. If it didn't happen now, it may have happened a year from now due to a simple cold.

ITP is not always a lifetime disorder. Remissions occur all the time.
