Influenza was created by meredithjane
Have just spent 4 days/nights in our local hospital with Influenza B. Felt very ill for 5 days, then Monday morning I collapsed in the bathroom. Greg took me to hospital where they thought I was dehydrated & after a couple of bags of IV saline drip I would be right . . Blood tests were OK (platelets went up from 33 to 47!) but swab showed up the flu virus. On to antibiotics & apart from a cough am feeling a whole lot better. Going to have to work on the fitness levels big time though!

Sorry to hear that MJ! Lots of things going around. I've had bronchitis for 3 weeks; can't get rid of it. I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks guys,
The first day of Spring & I am lapping up the sunshine. Feel like I have been put through a wringer. Am trying to ignore the fluff bunnies playing chasey around the house & the battered plants in the garden after a horrendous storm last week. Am under strict Drs. orders to 'rest' - so hard when you're used to being a 'doer'.

Understand the "being a doer"!! It was difficult for me to "rest". I was always doing something. The combination of ITP and depression really knocked me down. That was several years ago and I am back to myself again.
