:dry: Petechiae are not an important sign??? Your ITP must be much different than mine. I check for 'spots' every day and go directly to the ER if I find them, because I'll be under 10,000. Might want to be careful with generalizations such as 'not an important sign.' :huh:

Some people only treat when they have bleeding and petechiae and bruises then don't count as bleeding. Nosebleeds that won't stop, blood blisters in the mouth, blood in the urine or from elsewhere all count as bleeding. Other people treat by the number in which case petechiae can be useful to let them know that their numbers are falling but of themselves they are not dangerous.
