Hi Everyone,

Wish me well!

Two weeks ago March 12, 2010 my Platelets were at 114,00 and prior to that on February 16, 2010 my Platelets were 61,000. I was put on 10 MG of Prednisone and still on the low dose.

Tomorrow morning we will find out if they are rising or falling.

I have a couple of petechiae spots on my legs, but nothing to cry wolf about.

I am being treated down here in Bradenton, Florida because I am a snowbird from January to April. When I go back to Connecticut in May I will resume treatment in Danbury.

I will let you know what tomorrow brings.

Amelia M Petre

Goodluck! I really hope that your count has gone back way up and that you can stop taking the treatment!
My count usually sits at about 100-115 and I dropped to 40 the other day - I wonder whether I should have been put on a very low dose of Prednisone. I did try to contact my hemo but unfortunately she didn't see it fit to contact me back. I really need to find a new specialist.

Goodluck - wishing you all the best!!
