Pain with no visible bruising

Pain with no visible bruising was created by hayley311
Last night I noticed that my elbow was really sore to the touch or if I put pressure on it as in resting it on a table/counter. There is no visible bruise. Then in the middle of the night I awoke with pain in my right cheek bone area that also feels as if it's bruised, yet no visible bruising. I thought at first it may be a circulation issue as I have what I feel is an enormous moon face from 8 weeks on prednisone and I was sleeping on that side of my face and have experienced numbness from time to time from all the swelling. However it hasn't gone away. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced anything like this pain that feels like a bruise but without seeing an actual bruise. I see my doctor every Wednesday right now should I wait til then to discuss with her or should I call on Monday? My platelets were at 300k last Wednesday so my numbers were good then and I'm down to 20mg/day of prednisone (YAY!) Thank you all in advance for your help.

I get that and it's usually the muscle that is sore. Don't know if that applies to an elbow.

Yeah I just thought it was weird since it was in areas where it's more bone than muscle. They feel much better today, only hurt when I touch them, yesterday it was more of a constant throbbing pain. I will probably wait and mention it on Wednesday to my dr.
