Another ITP case was created by Dean
Just found out that one of my Daughters friends(18) was diagnosed with ITP. Sounds like she is going the Spleenectomy route. I have not talked to her.

Dean, try to talk to your daughter's friend; her ITP could just be an acute case. Any idea how long ago she was diagnosed? Depending on that, having a splenectomy is too soon. I waited two years to have mine. Just a thought.

I am going to suggest holding off the Spleenectomy as it is a rescent diagnosis.

That is really scarey that they want to do a spleenectomy so soon. I hope she gets a second opinion.
