Chest Pain after IVIG

Chest Pain after IVIG was created by jessie4us
OK, so my IgG, IgAm, & IgM are all very low. We found this out because I was sick about 10 months out of the year. The doctor recommended I start treatments with IVIG ASAP and continue to do this monthly. This was about a year ago. I did the treatments, and they all left me feeling great after a few days and finally I wasn't sick all the time!!
Well, the last treatment I had was in August. They switched the medication up on me...I don't know what is was but it was something different. Anyway, As soon as I had the treatment I felt totally like crap. I had an awful migraine for about 4 days until the doctor gave me something amazing to help with that. But ever since the treatment, I have been having really bad chest pain. I went to the hospital near the end of August and they said it was probably plursity (imflamation of the lining of the lungs). The pain is usually lingering all the time, but randomly I get stab like feeling. It really affects my everyday life. I am really worried and I don't know that to do.

I had cancer a few years back so I don't know if that has anything to do with my deficinces, probably not.

PLEASE, if anyone has any advice for me a would appreciate it more than anything. I worry all the time. Please, help.

Hi Jessie and welcome to the forum,

If it were me I would be presuming by now that the pain is not connected to the IVIG and needs investingating in its own right. I'd ask for another opinion and go from there.

Agree with Ann - definitely enough time lapse for a 2nd opinion. If nothing else it might bring peace of mind or a definitive Dx.

Blessings of enough...

Love to share with the hurting
