Hello everyone!!!

Just wanted to update you all on Josh's struggle with ITP....well it seems as though things have gotten better...his numbers after being at 2 last year, went up in Jan/Feb to 745 ish!!!! I was terrified, but the transplant team assured me that those kind of numbers were okay....His prednisone is down to MUCH lower then he had been on before the ITP and was on his entire life. He was on 3mg everyday since his transplant, and now is on 2.5 every other day. He remains on the Cellcept for now. He FINALLY had his heart biopsy (that he only had to have because of the aggressive steroid treatment of the ITP) and the results were good!!! :woohoo: Now hem will probably want to take him off the CC and the pred, but Im not so keen on that, Id rather leave him on it. He was on the CC up until two years ago anyways. We'll see, right now we just want to enjoy the rest of the summer, and Josh is going to summer camp on the 28th. We've been putting the biopsy off for 5/6 months now, it was hanging over our heads for a long time. Now its over. Anyways, hopefully thats the end of the ITP, but you just never know when it will rear its ugly head again. Oh btw he's hovering around 465- 456 ish now.

Hope everyone has great counts!!!

Angela - that's wonderful news! I am happy for you both! You've sure been through a lot with him and deserve a huge break. I hope he enjoys camp!
