Just curious how close to your treatments do you all have your blood checked. I am scheduled for weekly IVIg infusions every Friday until delivery (May 23rd possibly sooner). I have been having weekly CBCs drawn on Mondays but was told the full effect of IVIg takes a few days to register...should I start going to the lab to have my platelets checked on a different day?

When I had WinRho my blood was drawn & results told to me before the IV was given - we all knew my ocunt and if treatment still needed.

How long does it take to get the results back from your test? Can they do it there right before your IVIg and get the results back right away?

everytime I have a CBC I have the results within an hour. I only had them done right before a treatment when I was on NPlate.

They want to do the CBC at some point AFTER the IVIg treatment to see if its worked. And from what I understood it can take a few days for us to notice an accurate change in the platelet count.
