Covid vaccine clots

Covid vaccine clots was created by Leahleah
Has anyone here experienced a rare clot from the covid vaccine? I have ITP and my marrow creates enough platelets but once they hit my blood stream they’re being killed off. I’m nervous this may relate to what’s causing platelets to stick together with the vaccine. Can anyone give me more details? When I asked my hematologist he told me getting the vaccine was my personal decision and I have to weigh out all my options

Not all ITPers have a platelet production problem - I don't. So when the blood cleansing places in our bodies detect the antibodies that have attached to our platelets they know that isn't normal so they do their job and destroy them.

My platelets didn't stick together when I had both vaccine injections - to be honest I'd not heard that the vaccines caused platelets to stick together. I will get the booster Pfizer injection when possible. Also my hematologist did recommend getting the vaccine.

The rare clotting events with the vaccine are not related to ITP. I've had the vaccine and am due the third jab shortly.

What vaccine did you get? Did your platelets drop?
