Covid 19 vaccine and ITP was created by christyssn
Hi,
Did anyone here with ITP get the Covid vaccine yet? I am interested to know if they have done any studies on people with a history of ITP and if any adverse reactions were encountered after taking the vaccine. Which of the covid vaccines would be the safest for people with ITP+Anemia?
I have taken many vaccines in my life. The only vaccine that caused me temporary ITP for the first time was Gardasil. The ITP resolved by itself in 1 year without any medical intervention but only monitoring by the Hematologist. I am a bit afraid to take a new vaccine because I don't want to re-live the ITP nightmare again. But with that being said it looks like the benefits outweigh the risks. Any thoughts?

I received both doses of pfizer vaccine end of December and beginning of January. No notable side effects.
